Three foreign fast-food chains eye Slovakia

In the first week of 2012, three restaurant chains announced their intention to enter Slovakia,
Hospodarske Noviny reported. They are the UK’s pancake fast-food chain
Crepeaffaire, the Italian salad and pasta restaurant chain
GoPasta, and the Polish pizza chain
Crazy Piramid Pizza. The latter is also in talks to enter the Ukrainian, Russian and Czech markets, according to information from the company
Wojtex, which operates the Crazy Piramid Pizza chain in Poland (for more information please have a look at the

Crepeaffaire wants to start operations in Slovakia in 2012 and have a presence in more than 10 large cities in the country during the next five years, according to information from Crepeaffaire’s operator, the company
Avex Systems.
In 2011, the international fast-food chains
Diary Queen and
Texas Chicken and the German fast-food operator
BackWerk also expressed interest in starting operations on the Slovak market.
