Avion Shopping Centre in Ostrava to grow again

Inter IKEA Centre Group announced that it will complete the second phase of expansion of its Avion Shopping Centre in Ostrava in March 2012. The complex will gain an additional 4,000 m2 of leasable shopping space, reports portal retailinfo.cz. Twenty-four new retail stores will occupy the space. Construction of the second phase required nearly CZK 300m (€11.7m). The Avion Shopping Centre opened in 2001 and its area grew from its initial 54,000 m2 to current figure of over 100,000 m2. It offers 3,750 parking spaces. Total investment for reconstruction and development of the centre exceeded CZK 3.5bn (€136m).
