Danone’s talks with Kaufland for 2012 contracts fall through

With one exception, the France-based dairy Danone will distribute its products in 2012 through all major retail chains, following the recent conclusion of negotiations with the UK chain Tesco. Danone’s representatives said the only chain where its products will not be found this year is Germany-based Kaufland, as the two parties could not reach an agreement.
According to Danone’s representatives, the price of its products charged to retailers remained unchanged in 2012.
