The producer of traditional Czech beer,
K Brewery, recently announced that it had signed an agreement to consolidate 100% in another medium-size brewer,
Cerna Hora, according to
Hospodarske Noviny. The total value of the investment has not yet been revealed, however, it has been speculated that the transaction may be worth dozens of millions of Czech crowns.
The Cerna Hora brewery produces more than 160,000 hectolitres of beer annually. K Brewery acquired a share of Cerna Hora in 2007 in what was the company’s first
acquisition activity on the domestic market. Today, the company owns such medium-size breweries as Platan Protivin, Janacek Uhersky Brod, Jezek Jihlava, Rychtar Hlinsko, Klaster and Lobkowic.
