The Bory Mall shopping complex scheduled to be built within a year in North-Western Bratislava between the districts of Lamac, Dubravka and Devinska Nova Ves, has signed up its first major tenant, the retailer Metro Cash & Carry.
The shopping complex is being developed by Penta Investments. At present, the developer is in talks with the German DIY store Bauhaus, which has, for several years now, been planning to enter the Slovak market. Other potential tenants include another DIY retailer Hornbach, the Austrian furniture retailer Kika, the household appliance and carpet retailer Koratex and the electronics retailer Nay.
The total investment required to construct the Bory Mall has been estimated at €110m. The size and scale of the plans for the centre were downsized from 85,000 m² to 65,000 m².
