Datart International sales down by CZK 537m in 2009

The consumer electronics retailer Datart International reported sales revenues of CZK 4.1bn for the 2009 fiscal year (beginning in May 2008 and ending in April 2009). This figure represents a decline of CZK 537m (€20.6m) compared to the previous year, reported Hospodarske Noviny. Net profit, in contrast, increased to CZK 94.6 m (€3.7m), up from below CZK 79 m (€3m) in the previous year.
Revenues from the sale of consumer electronic between January and September 2009 decreased by approximately 9% to CZK 47bn (€1.8bn), according to GfK. In Q3 2009 the pace of decline was more pronounced, at around 12%.
Datart International operates 29 stores in the Czech Republic.
