The Polish floor tile and carpet retailer Sklepy Komfort, owned by the investment company Enterprise Investors, plans to open its first store in Slovakia in March 2010.
The move is part of the firm’s long-term expansion strategy.
Sklepy Komfort currently operates 141 stores in Poland. The company opened its first two stores in the Czech Republic last year, in Olomouc and Plzen. A third store is now planned and is scheduled to be opened in February 2010. In total, Sklepy Komfort wants to launch five stores in the Czech Republic and two in Slovakia during 2010. The Czech and Slovak markets are, according to Sklepy Komfort’s representatives, the company’s main priorities in the near future.
Sklepy Komfort was established in 1992 in the Polish city of Szczecin (see the feature "Expansion can continue still this year - an interview with Jerzy Szkwarek, President of Sklepy Komfort ", for more details on the expansion plans of Sklepy Komfort).
