Swiss buy up Slovak e-shop operator Digital Dreams

Swiss investment fund Centralway Holding purchased a 30% stake in the Slovak company Digital Dreams, which operates the internet portals pricemania.sk and pex.sk focused on online shopping.
Slovakia sees growing interest from clients in e-shops that offer price comparisons, according to market statistics. At the same time, the sales of these websites have been constantly increasing in Slovakia.
Pricemania.sk is a search engine allowing shoppers to compare prices of more than 500,000 products from the offer of over 800 e-shops. The portal was launched in 2007 and has about 400,000 users per month. The website had a revenue of about €15m in 2009 and plans on doubling the amount this year.
Centralway Holding has been operating on the Czech and Slovak markets since 2000. The company, whose areas of interest are primarily the Internet, software, communications and media ventures, has already invested in various Czech and Slovak companies such as Webnode.cz, Invia.cz, Blog.cz and Auto.cz.
