Euromark’s strategy for 2010/2011 to remain unchanged
2010-03-02
James Kelly, the new chairman of Euromark, the owner of the Campus and Alpinus sports brands, is not planning any major changes in the company’s strategy, according to a report in Parkiet. In the 2010/2011 fiscal year, which starts in March 2010, the company expects a slight improvement in its results. Because of the cold winter, Euromark’s sales improved in December 2009 and January 2010, by 60.5% and 46.2% year on year, respectively. However, after the first three quarters of the 2009/2010 fiscal year starting in March 2009, the company had made a net loss of PLN 4.8m (€1.2m), from revenues of PLN 75.7m (€18.9m).
The company is also planning to develop its Planet Outdoor chain. At present, the latter network, which also offers sports equipment and clothing, consists of 22 stores and intends eventually to have 40 establishments.
