M3 Outlet performing well
2010-03-08
The newest entrant to the Hungarian factory outlet market, the M3 Outlet shopping mall, has achieved considerable success in the country and the region, reported
Napi Gazdasag.
Although its first full year of existence overlapped with the global recession, the number of visitors amounted to 600,000-700,000 per day in 2009, according to M3’s managing director, Miklos Szebenyi. The number of visitors from abroad also rose significantly during the period. Among those visiting the centre, 25-30% were from Poland, Slovakia and the Ukraine.
The centre’s advantageous location next to the M3 motorway, which connects Hungary and Romania, has resulted in a high number of visitors from Romania as well. Mr. Szebenyi hopes that the number of tenants will reach 50 in the near future.
