Second phase of Eurovea multifunctional complex to add more retail space
2010-03-09
The second phase of the Eurovea multifunctional complex in Bratislava is to include the creation of additional retail and entertainment space. This is the developer’s answer to rising demand for retail space. By way of example, Pribina Galleria shopping centre in Eurovea (phase one of the investment), which is to be opened in March 2010, is currently fully leased, according to Ballymore, the developer behind the project. The second stage of the Eurovea project was originally designed to consist exclusively of residential and office spaces.
The construction of stage two is planned for mid-2011 as Ballymore wants to see how Eurovea stage one performs before commencing construction of the second phase. The decision will depend on the occupancy rate of office and residential space in the completed complex.
Ballymore has no other projects in Slovakia. It launched the construction of Eurovea back in the 2006 and the project has thus far cost the developer a total of €350m.
