Sconto Furniture, a Czech furniture retailer owned by the German group Hoffner, has recently expanded into Slovakia. The company’s first store in the country has recently been opened in Trnava. The two-storey unit comprises 7,000 m², reported Hospodarske Noviny.
Hoffner ranks among the largest furniture retailers in Europe while Sconto Furniture is, alongside Ikea, Asko, and Kika, one of the four largest furniture chains in the Czech Republic. Sconto operates five stores in the Czech Republic and has plans to open one more before the end of the year.
