Hungarian spirits producer and distributor Zwack Unicum recorded HUF 2.3bn (€8.3m) after-tax profits for the fiscal year 2009/2010 ending 31 March. It represented a decrease by almost one quarter from HUF 3bn (€10.8m) recorded a year earlier.
The company’s gross revenues narrowed by 14% to HUF 24bn (€86.6m) as export sales plunged by 8% to HUF 1.3bn (€4.7m).
Gross margins fell 20% due to the weakening forint and certain changes in the company’s product portfolio.
According to analysts’ estimates, the company will pay out a HUF 1,000 (€3.6) per-share-dividend this year, equal to a total of HUF 2bn (€7.2m), in contrast to a HUF 2,300 (€8.3) per-share-dividend paid out last year.
