The American coffee house chain Starbucks has finally opened its first unit in Hungary on 16 June, Vilaggazdasag reported. The unit is located in the WestEnd City Center shopping mall.
The Budapest new unit stocks Starbucks’ full product range including various coffee and tea drinks, muffins, doughnuts, salads and sandwiches. Additionally, Starbucks Magyarorszag will sell specialties like sandwiches with Pick salami and traditional cheese scones (pogacsa) and almond-nougat cakes by the exclusive confectionery Gerbeaud.
The coffee house is operated by AmRest Kavezo, a firm owned jointly by Starbucks Coffee International and AmRestCoffee. Starbucks has cooperated with AmRest since 2008, opening coffee houses in the Czech Republic and Poland. With the addition of the new unit, they have jointly opened 16 cafes in Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic.
