Eco friendly image of Mc Donald’s comes to the Czech Republic
2010-06-22
The McDonald’s fast-food restaurant chain is changing its corporate colours to green. All McDonald’s restaurants in Europe, including those in the Czech Republic, are replacing the logo’s red background with a green background. The new logo is expected to be perceived as less aggressive and to allow customers to associate the company with a commitment to the environment. All restaurants in the Czech Republic, including those that are franchise-owned, are obliged to comply with the change by 2013.
There are 81 Mc Donald’s restaurants in the Czech Republic, with five more to be rolled out by the end of 2010. In addition, there are 10 McDrive restaurants. It is forecast that the restaurants will change front elevations, logos and interiors by the end of the next year.
