Bytom forecasts to be in the black in 2010-2012

Bytom, the well-known Polish producer of menswear, expects to extricate itself from the red in 2010, earning sales revenues of PLN 71m (€17.4m) and making a net profit of PLN 3.3m (€810,200). In 2011 and 2012 the producer envisages sales revenues of PLN 77.3m (€19m) and PLN 87.2m (€21.4m) respectively, along with net profits of PLN 3.8m (€932,900) and PLN 5.8m (€1.4m).
By way of comparison, in 2009, the company's sales revenues came to PLN 65.5m (€16m), while the net loss was around PLN 10m (€2.5m).
Over the next three years, Bytom intends to open 17 stores, of which four in 2010. By the end of 2009, the chain consisted of 52 establishments.
In addition, Intermoda Fashion, a subsidiary of Bytom, is expected to be in the black in 2010 and to make a net profit of PLN 108,000 (€27,000) from sales revenues of PLN 21.9m (€5.4m). Dolwis, a Polish manufacturer of bed linen, which also belongs to the group, is expected to make a net loss of PLN 1.7m (€417,400) and to earn sales revenues of PLN 12.9m (€3.2m) in 2010. 2011 is, however, expected to bring a net profit of PLN 1.7m (€417,000) and sales revenues of PLN 18.5m (€4.5m) for Dolwis.
