The firm Elpro, which is part of the Emperia Holding group, has begun the implementation of the Galeria Stokrotka project in Bydgoszcz. The complex, which has 2,500 m² of leasable area will house a Stokrotka supermarket andan establishment belonging to Pepco, a non-food supermarket. The facility is due to open in Q3 2010.
The German discount chain Lidl intends to sell 14 sites in 13 Polish cities. The company decided to sell those properties on which there is no possibility of building food supermarkets.
The Polomarket grocery chain will open its 300th store in Swiebodzice on 13 August. During the first two weeks of July the company also set up establishments in Nowy Dwor Gdanski, Ustka, Nowe Miasto Lubawskie, Opole, Poddebica, Zambrow and Szczecin.
The PSB-Mrowka DIY chain has opened a new establishment in Pisz, in the Warminsko-Mazurskie voivodship. The supermarket takes up 1,800 m² and offers tens of thousands of products. At present, the chain consists of 46 establishments.
The Treasury has invited investors to participate in negotiations on the purchase of Gastropol shares. The company is an Olsztyn-based retailer of foodstuffs and household chemicals. The government plans to sell 85% of the shares of the company’s issued capital. Komfort, a purveyor of carpets and wall-to-wall floors, opened its 150th store on 10 July. The establishment is located in Piotrkow Trybunalski and is the company’s 26th franchise store.
The ITM group, which managesthe Intermarche and Bricomarche chains, intends to establish a special section in the Intermarche stores dedicated to furniture and home accessories. The first interior design stands under the Intermarche Collection name are to be launched in France in September 2010.
