Kaufland is planning to open a supermarket in Galeria Sanowa in Przemysl. This is due at the beginning of the autumn of 2010.
Spolem Bialystok is modernising its existing stores. The company has revamped the PSS Spolem delicatessen store in Suraska Street and is, at present, renovating the Topolanka bar. This year, it will commence the modernisation of store No.60 in Pilsudskiego Street in Bialystok. More establishments are due to open in 2013.
Pod Strzecha, a retail chain which offers bakery goods, plans to open between eight and ten establishments in 2010. At present, the network consists of 59 outlets, including 13 franchise stores.
Pepco, a non-food chain, plans to set up four stores by the end of July 2010. The new establishments will be located in Szczecin, Solec Kujawski, Krakow and Wegorzewo. Afterwards, the chain will consist of 214 establishments. The company expects, eventually, to manage 400 stores in Poland.
A Stokrotka supermarket opened on 3 July in Wegorzewo. The chain belongs to the Emperia Holding retail group.
On 9 Junethe LPP group opened one, 161 m², Cropp store in Belgorod, in Russia. On 4 July a Reserved store opened in Ukraine. The establishment is located in Ivano-Frankivsk and takes up 220 m².
A Kefirek grocery chain opened on 10 July in Zubrzyca Gorna, in the Malopolskie voivodship. The store’s usable area is 120 m². The chain intends to develop its stores in the Podhale region. It is planning to launch several new establishments this year.
