The Czech Republic appears to be among the EU countries with the largest share of consumers who made at least one distance purchase during the last 12 months, with 51% in 2009, according to the Eurobarometer

However, only 7% of Czechs made cross-border distant purchases, i.e. in the EU country other than the Czech Republic.
The EU average for distant purchases was 52%, which represented no change since 2008. There were large variations between countries on this point, with the level of distance shopping ranging from only 17% in Bulgaria to 77% in Germany.
