Construction of Trnava Park shopping centre to start in September 2010

The Irish developer Parker Green International plans to start construction of the Trnava Park Shopping Center in Slovakia in September 2010. The first phase of the project, which is scheduled to be completed in 2011 banks on the construction of 28,000 m² of retail space, which would be divided among some 120 stores. It also includes a parking lot with 1,300 spaces. The investment in the first phase of the Trnava Park Shopping Center is put at €100m.
Following the completion of the first phase of the complex, the developer plans to add a business centre and a hotel. The centre is expected to become the largest retail project in the Trnava region.
Parker Green International had announced plans to build the centre in 2007, but given the economic downturn and the lack of funding, the project was postponed.
