Belvedere increases sales in Poland

The French vodka producer
Belvedere, which owns Sobieski, a popular Polish vodka brand, improved its results in Poland in H1 2010. The sales revenues grew by 2.8% to €58.7m on the
Polish market, while in total the group reported a 3.2% decline in sales to €292.7m when compared to the analogous period of 2009.
Thanks to healthy sales in Poland, the group managed to raise its market share from 16.6% in December 2009 to 17.1% in June 2010.
Also, in the US, Belvedere reported a 15% increase in sales in H1 2010, mainly thanks to growing demand for Sobieski vodka. In turn, in Bulgaria and Lithuania the company reported declines in sales by 16.6% and 29%, respectively.
