The Hungarian packaging-material producer Kartonpack recorded HUF 76m (€264,800) net profit in H1 2010, 22% higher than in the same period of the previous year. The company pulled in sales worth HUF 782.5m (€2.7m) in the first half of the current year, up by 9% year on year. Its domestic sales revenue rose by 14% to HUF 706m (€2.4m), while export sales were down 24% to HUF 76m (€264,800). Costs of raw materials were also on the rise, increasing by 16% in H1 2010 compared to the similar period a year earlier.
