Clothing retailer Zara wants to open its first store in Pitesti

By the end of this year, the clothing retailer
Zara plans to open its first store in Pitesti in a 110 year-old building in the city centre, according to market insiders. The store will have an area of more than 1,000 m². It will require an investment of over €2m.
Zara is one of the most profitable fashion brands on the
Romanian clothing market, with gross profits of RON 45m (€11m) in 2009, according to the Romanian Trade Registry. In 2009 the owner of the Zara brand
Inditex registered sales revenues of €75m. Zara accounted for the main portion of Inditex’s sales revenues, generating sales worth €46m globally.
