Delhaize opened the second Red Market store in Brasov

The Belgian group Delhaize le Lion, operator of Mega Image supermarkets and Red Market discount chain in Romania, opened its second Red Market store in Brasov on 31 August 2010. The outlet has a GLA of 500 m² and represents an investment of €500,000-750,000. It employs 20 people.
Red Market is the most recent entry on the foodstuffs discount market in Romania. Its first store was opened in December 2009 near Bucharest. Currently the chain operates 10 stores in Romania. The company plans to open a new Red Market discount store in Targoviste in September 2010.
