Miratorg, a major Russia-based meat producer, has launched a pilot internet store at shop.miratorg.ru, the holding company announced. It will offer the full range of Miratorg products, unlike its traditional stores. Miratorg’s top priority is to develop its own retail business, and the online store will complement the existing retail sales channels and increase the availability of the company’s entire product range for buyers, the company said.
During the test stage, the online store provides processing and delivery of orders within the Moscow ring road. The company uses its own distribution capacities and a specially purchased fleet of cars to guarantee high quality service and prompt delivery. Based on the results of the pilot project, Miratorg will decide if it will expand the internet service beyond Moscow, the company’s press service reported.
The company operates more than 60 retail stores in Moscow, Voronezh, Kaliningrad, Bryansk and Belgorod Provinces (including nearly 40 Miratorg stores in Moscow and the Moscow region alone), and the Burger&Fries restaurant chain.
