PMR Insight: Price remains paramount in choosing where to eat out

In our latest food-service consumer survey conducted in January 2019, we asked respondents about the things that mattered most to them when choosing where to eat out. We found that price is still the dominant consideration, mentioned by 52%. The second most important requirement is cleanliness and tidy appearance (47%). Positive previous experience also figures prominently in people’s decisions, as does a diverse menu, convenient location, and good customer service. The least-cited requirements were a play area for pets, and a cloakroom. Very few respondents, too, expect luxury…
